Hella sheds light on its road to success

Lighting Specialist Hella is tackling 2015 head on, boasting what could be the most comprehensive LED lighting range on the Australian market. But the German juggernaut doesn’t just want to make a quick sale. Instead, its main goal is to convince the market by educating it.

Tomas Plessinger, head of marketing at Hella Australia, is feeling buoyant about the year ahead. Not only because the truck market is slowly recovering after a somewhat disappointing 2014, but also because the company’s product range is all set for proving itself out in the field.

According to Tomas, communicating the true strength of the Hella product line-up – reflected in an improved safety record – will be the brand’s primary focus in 2015. To do so, he is prepared to go the extra mile and help educate the market on the advantages of opting for a dedicated daytime lighting solution in a commercial vehicle.

“2014 was a very successful year for Hella as a brand, but in the increasingly commoditised market we find ourselves in, we need to set an example to prove we are the undisputed authority in our field. I believe that Daytime Running Lights (DRL), or LED Safety Day Lights, as we call them at Hella, are just the right product group to do so.”
