KKR Transport: Fuelled by experience
KKR Transport started out as a small business distributing fuel in the Brisbane metropolitan region. Today, the blue and white fleet is a respected force in Queensland’s transport game and has a reputation for unrivalled service.
KR Transport’s fleet stands out on the road – not just because of its vibrant colour scheme, but also due to the immaculate presentation of each and every truck.
But the things the community doesn’t see – such as safety, compliance, training and maintenance strategies – are just as vital to the company’s approach to business as public perception.
In fact, they have become hallmarks of KKR’s operation and helped it become a highly respected fuel haulage firm. There is no ‘she’ll be right’ attitude at KKR, just a strong focus on doing what it does in the most concise and professional manner possible. And when you consider the company’s humble beginnings and the vast experience of its Managing Directors, Ken Tree and Robert Hannan, that is not all too surprising.
In 1985, Ken decided to buy a truck and become a subcontractor to Petro Fuels in Brisbane. He had been with the firm in various capacities before until he seized the opportunity to buy a T-Line International and become a fuel haulier in his own right.
