The logical choice
Logical Staffing Solutions offers a pool of passionate, experienced drivers. With a new Underwood-based office in Southeast Queensland, it has widened its network to match skilled workers with transport companies that share the same values.
Located 15 minutes south of Brisbane on the M1 Freeway, amongst a growing cluster of transport companies in Underwood, the new office of Logical Staffing Solutions will complement its Victorian branches in Laverton North, Hallam and Port Melbourne, by helping to service the fast-growing road transport industry in Queensland.
Grant Pender, Logical Staffing Solutions, Transport Consultant, says the new office will be an extension of the Melbourne flagship, and it will concentrate on recruitment, by finding highly sought-after skilled workers’ jobs in all aspects of Transport and Logistics including warehousing, heavy-vehicle driving, light manufacturing and white-collar management.
“This is an expansion in our operations,” he says. “It’s a bold move and an exciting opportunity for us given the increasing demand for personnel across the growing road transport and logistics sectors.”
A former truck driver himself, Grant boast nearly 20 years of transport experience, having driven rigid trucks and prime movers towing various combinations of semi-trailers through to Transport Operations Management. It’s this kind of knowledge that helps him understand the requirements of matching the right supply chain workers with the right job.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to grow the business where we have recognised a niche for Logical Staffing Solution’s to supply new and existing clients with suitably skilled staff,” Grant says. “We look forward to providing professionals and organisations with staffing solutions that suit their needs. This is not a maybe, it’s a definite.”
Grant, who holds various licenses including HC truck driver and LF forklift, will jump in a truck for a client, should an urgent driver assignment arise. Only six months ago he delivered mass managed soft drinks piloting a semi-trailer.
“One of the best things I like about driving is meeting new clients,” he says. “The feeling of getting out and about, and embarking on a new journey you may not have driven previously, is always enjoyable.”
The Queensland branch, he says, will work closely with Victorian branches, as it explores providing additional options to clients requiring line-haul drivers transporting goods both north and south. According to Grant, an opportunity exists in which to facilitate assignments on the return leg for drivers who have driven from Victoria to Queensland or vice versa.
“We’re going to work closely with our clients and drivers to allocate loads to and from Melbourne and Queensland” he says. “It will maximise driver time spent earning coin while we see a further opportunity for us to deliver exceptional service to our customers.”
