The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) has a 114-year history that stems back to when freight was hauled by bullocks down the main streets of Melbourne. In fact, I can remember seeing photos of these loads in my father’s transport office that showed huge boilers on drays with a team of 60 bullocks, four abreast in the lead navigating Collins Street.
