The world’s largest concrete machinery manufacturer, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co. Ltd, has ordered 375 trucks from Scania which will be used as a platform for mobile concrete pumps. The company is based in China and delivery of the order is scheduled for completion in April.
“The order represents a success for our strategy of supplying high quality products and services that contribute to increased efficiency and higher profitability,” says Peter Sjöblom, Managing Director of Scania’s Chinese sales company.
Zoomlion has been purchasing Scania trucks since 2008. The company’s largest mobile concrete pumps, which have a span up to 80 metres, are mounted on Scania’s four and five axle truck chassis with six cylinder 420 to 470 hp engines. These pumps are used in the construction of high-rise buildings and bridges, etc.
Queensland’s flood disaster struck hard with trucking hub Rocklea, home to transport companies, truck dealers, trailer manufacturers and parts suppliers, inundated as the industrial suburb became an inland sea.
