ALC addresses freight priorities in WA

The Australian Logistics Council recently met with the Director General of the WA Department of Transport, Richard Sellers, as well as members of the Freight and Logistics Council of WA (WLCWA) in Perth.

“Our discussions with industry participants in WA focused on ensuring WA’s priorities can be effectively addressed by continuing engagement on development of the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy, facilitating greater national regulatory consistency by encouraging WA to sign up to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), freight rail issues and road pricing reform,” the ALC said in a statement.

“It was also great to hear a range of interesting perspectives from FLCWA members as to how our industry can work collaboratively to build the social licence for freight.”

In other news, logistics company, Linfox, and the ALC have shared their support of a prominent infrastructure project set to optimise intermodal operations across the country.
