ALC Forum 2017 kicks off at MCG

The Australian Logistics Council’s (ALC) annual ALC Forum 2017 is already underway at Victoria’s iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

This year’s speakers will include representatives from the Port of Melbourne Corporation, Aurizon, Australia Post, Australian Rail Track Corporation, Qube, Woolworths and Infrastructure Australia. Hon Darren Chester MP, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, and Hon Luke Donnellan MP, Minister for Roads and Road Safety and Minister for Ports, will also be sharing their insight at the event, as well as ALC CEO, Michael Kilgariff (pictured).

The 2017 ALC Forum, which concludes tomorrow, will focus on issues identified in the ALC’s election priorities document ‘Getting the Supply Chain Right’ Strategy, including nationally significant supply chains and their access to supporting infrastructure, the adequacy of the institutional framework supporting freight networks, reforms and investments that will affect the efficient movement of freight and the key bodies overseeing their efficient operation.

The Federal Government committed to establishing a National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy in 2016, following a comprehensive independent inquiry into how best to support the productivity and efficiency of Australia’s freight supply chain.

Prime Creative Media supply chain publication, Logistics & Materials Handling (L&MH), is the official media partner for the event.
