Daysworth unveils Diamond Reo Giant at MEGATRANS2018

Commercial Vehicle manufacturer, Daysworth International, has re-launched the Diamond Reo truck brand – an iconic heavy duty prime mover that graced Australian highways in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Daysworth International is unveiling its Diamond Reo Giant, a 540hp 6x4 prime mover – spec’d for inner city haulage – at inaugural supply chain expo, MEGATRANS2018. It is also showcasing the Diamond Reo Construction range, which is represented by a 8x4 Tilt Tray. The 8x4 is also available as a tipper, water tanker, hook lift and crane truck.

The Diamond Reo trucks are available today, turn-key for delivery.

The re-introduction of Diamond Reo prime mover has been a nine-year project for Daysworth International. The new generation of the Diamond Reo Giant has been extensively tested offshore and in Australia since 2015. The new generation of the Diamond Reo road truck has proven itself with over one million kilometres of testing in the harshest Australian road conditions.

“We’ve run our 6x4 Diamond Reo tray truck fitted with Palfinger with all combinations of loads,” said Ivan Cicak of MME Transport. “The Diamond Reo has performed exceptionally with high performance and comfort.”

The Diamond Reo range of heavy haulage vehicles will be supported by 40 years of Daysworth expertise and a national network of dealers underpinned by a substantial parts and service infrastructure.

“The Diamond Reo road trucks are an exceptional addition to the Australian Transport network,” said Daysworth International Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Ivan Vodanovich. “With proven reliability and performance, the Diamond Reo road trucks are leaders in its class.”
