Fuso Tipper gets an extra tonne bigger

The Fuso Built Ready Wide Cab Canter has increased its gross vehicle mass (GVM) to 7.5 tonnes it was announced today by Daimler Truck & Bus Australia.

The addition of an extra tonne will see the gross combination mass expanded to 11 tonnes.

Cubic carrying capacity for the Wide Cab Canter Tipper has since been increased more than 14 per cent to 2.4 cubic metres. This has been achieved by elongating the tipper body by 300mm.

Total body length is now measured at 3150mm.

Of its enhanced features, the hydraulic lift cylinder now runs at 8.0MPA, a higher pressure befitting the revised tipper hoist stroke, which has been maximised to angle up to 60 degrees, an improvement of five degrees on the current model.

Available with manual gearbox or Fuso’s automated DCT transmission, the Wide Cab Canter also features an I-beam front axle to help provide it with maximum durability in tough conditions.

A Limited Slip Differential comes as standard making both the Wide Cab Canter Tipper and the narrow-body City Cab, the only Japanese tippers in their class to do so.

Justin Whitford, Fuso Truck and Bus Director said the Fuso tipper models are renown for durability and toughness.

“We are pleased to announce these upgrades to the Wide Cab Canter Tipper, which will mean a lot to drivers delivering load after load who will enjoy a further boost in productivity,” he said.
