Hino awards top Australian dealerships

Hino Motor Sales Australia’s top dealerships have been recognised for their performances during 2017 at an awards ceremony in Sydney on 14 April.

The Metropolitan Dealer of the Year was won by Prestige Hino for the third consecutive year while West Orange Motors was victorious as the Regional Dealer of the Year.

Prestige Hino Dealer Principal Angelo Valerio said it was an honour to receive the award.

“For Prestige Hino, 2017 was not about winning anything – it was about setting goals to evolve the company into the 21st century, which didn’t come without its challenges, but amazingly, we were also ticking all the boxes at the same time which led us to make industry history with our third Hino Dealer of the Year award in a row,” said Valerio.

“This award has motivated our staff even further to be the best they can be for both Hino and Prestige Hino – I have to pinch myself when I think I’m leading such a passionate, driven and focused group of individuals who ultimately work together to form an unstoppable team,” he said.

West Orange Motors Dealer Principal, Aaron Daniel, credited his team’s hard work with the exceptional result.

“We are extremely proud to receive this award which is an amazing recognition of the strong team work, effort, and dedication of all our staff!” said Daniel.

The top individual honour of 2017 Salesperson of the Year was awarded to Robert Tot (WA Hino Sales & Service).

CMI Adelaide was successful for the second straight year in receiving the Customer Experience award, with West Orange Motors and Johnson’s Truck and Coach Service, Mildura also achieving awards in this category.

Recognising longevity of service was also a focus of the evening with Vanderfield Hino Toowoomba receiving an award for its 25-year partnership with Hino.

Hino Motor Sales Australia Chairman and CEO, Steve Lotter, congratulated all involved on their achievements while reflecting on a successful 2017.

“The fantastic results of our dealerships and their teams in 2017 are already translating into record sales and order levels in 2018,” said Lotter.

“The inclusion of the Customer Experience award for the second year is of particular significance, as we are committed to being a trusted business partner for our customers, which we do through our Hino Advantage suite of business building benefits,” he said.

The evening was hosted by Supercars legend and Hino Ambassador, Neil Crompton, and attended by over 290 guests including Hino Motors senior executives Satoru Mori (Executive Vice President and Director of the Global Business Unit) and Satoru Mishima (Deputy General Manager of Oceania region).
