Melbourne-based luxury home builder, Head Homes, has purchased its first-ever truck, an Isuzu NLR 45-150 short wheel base Traypack.
The Isuzu NLR is Head Homes’ first foray into trucks, with the business previously working only with utes, trailers and vans in its small fleet.
Since the business is tasked with carrying a one and a half tonne load of tools and supplies for building homes and conducting renovations and extensions in Melbourne’s inner city, Head Homes decided the time was right to make the upgrade to a medium-duty truck.
“It’s the perfect vehicle for us,” said Head Homes Owner/Director, Jaydn Head. “We can carry all our tools – as well as some extra material like sand or soil, and a couple of wheelbarrows – and still work on these tight, inner city sites, while parking in a conventional car space.”
Head described the Isuzu NLR Traypack as a tough and nimble truck, boasting a 4.5 tonne GVM that doesn’t require any sacrifice of manoeuvrability.
In addition, the vehicle has a 110 kW of power at 2,800 rpm and 375 Nm of torque at 1,600 - 2,800 rpm, and according to Head, can still able to be driven on a car licence.
