IM Group becomes part of GUD Holdings

Specialist automotive electronics and mechatronics company, Innovative Mechatronics (IM) Group, has been acquired by GUD Holdings, parent company of Brown and Watson, for an undisclosed sum.

IM, which was inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame in 2006, is best known for its Injectronics brand of remanufactured automotive electronic and mechatronic components such as ABS modules, as well as RAE ignitions and sensors and dat diagnostic equipment.

To further strengthen the brand names, IM also announced that GUD’s Goss range of sensors, fuel pumps, ignition coils will become part of the group ¬– with Tony Sheedy relocating to Hallam to take up the role of General Manager, Sales.

Managing Director, Rex Vandenberg, will continue to manage the business, with Gino Ricciuti taken on responsibility for brand marketing as General Manager Marketing and Logistics.
