Isuzu Australia unveils new truck at AWRE

Commercial vehicle manufacturer, Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL), has showcased its Isuzu FVY at the 2018 Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE).

Displayed in collaboration with waste specialist Bingo Industries, the Isuzu FVY 6x4 rubbish truck was a main attraction at the two-day event held at the International Convention Centre Sydney in Darling Harbour last month.

AWRE brought together sustainability leaders and influencers in waste management while highlighting the latest product innovations including trucks.

Rated at 24,000kg gross vehicle mass (GVM) and 36,000kg gross combination mass (GCM), the turbo-charged FVY features an intercooled diesel engine rated at 221 kw at 2,400 RPM. Ideal for waste management the truck’s payload capacity is also suited for body builds such as hook lift, tipper and dog in addition to other material handling and transport configurations.

The emission control system contains cooled EGR with Exhaust Diesel Particulate Diffuser making it ADR 80/03 (Euro V) and EEV compliant.

Les Spaltman, IAL National Sales Manager said it was exciting that customers were able to view the display of the Isuzu FVY.

“Having Bingo’s Isuzu FVY truck at our stand this year was particularly helpful because customers across a diverse range of waste applications could see firsthand just how well suited this piece of equipment is for the task at hand,” he said.

“We have been a part of AWRE for a while now, and we love hearing from industry stakeholders”

“As a business approaching 30 consecutive years of truck market leadership in Australia, we have learnt that listening to our customers and incorporating their feedback in our service offerings are imperative for continued brand evolution that better serves our customers,” said Spaltman.
