Isuzu Australia supports Life Education Victoria

Commercial vehicle manufacturer, Isuzu Australia, has provided Life Education Victoria with Isuzu trucks to tow mobile learning classrooms to schools across Victoria.

Life Education, which is backed by the Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training, works to bring preventative drug, health and life education to children to help them make informed decisions about their health.

Life Education reaches over 710,000 children across the country through 100 mobile learning centres and 95 specially trained educators. Since being founded in 1979, the organisation’s programs have reached and educated over seven million young Australians.

“It’s a privilege to support Life Education Victoria for another year, helping them to deliver positive education to millions of Australian children,” said Isuzu Australia Director and CEO, Andrew Harbison.

“Life Education Victoria works hard to invest in our future generations, and we are pleased to be able to contribute where we can to such a positive cause,” he said.

Over the last four years, Isuzu Australia has donated trucks to enable the Life Education Victoria team and mascot, Healthy Harold, to transport its immersive mobile classrooms around the state.

The mobile learning classrooms are fitted with innovative learning technology including a Transparent Anatomical Mannequin (TAM).

Isuzu Australia is also a corporate sponsor of the Life Education Victoria gala dinner, an annual fundraising event to enable the organisation to reach more regional and disadvantaged areas of Victoria.

“Life Education Victoria is very thankful for the generous support provided by [Isuzu Australia] over the last four years,” said Life Education Victoria CEO, Andrew Bennetto.

“The support by way of financial sponsorship, as well as providing two Isuzu trucks for our regional rural areas is critical in helping us fulfil our mission and helping us in the work of developing life-smart children.

“Our mission is to empower children to deal with difficult life and health issues, and we are thrilled to be supported by Isuzu,” he said. “Their support over the years has helped us enormously in our mission.”
