Isuzu enhances N Series

Isuzu Trucks has launched the new Euro V rated N Series models, taking the opportunity to refine its market-leading light duty range with a number of cabin comfort and safety enhancements to complement improved emissions performance.

Powering the new range are three Euro V rated 4-cylinder engines ranging from 3.0 litre (11kW) to 5.2 litre (139 kW). Three new model variants have been added to the N Series range, providing operators with a diverse selection of trucks. The NLS 200 is now available in a Medium Crew variant with a 3360mm wheelbase, with enough room for six occupants, including three seating positions in the rear. Also new to the NLS 200 range is the NLS 200 Tipper, with a 4.5 tonne GVM and 2740mm wheelbase. Another new model, the NLR 275 will be available fitted with a factory-fitted tipper body, featuring a 5.5 tonne GVM and 8 tonne GCM.

Other notable specification changes include the adoption of taper leaf front springs to replace multi leaf springs on the NPR 250/300/400 and NQR 450, providing 30 percent greater capacity and a smoother ride in all conditions. The availability of Isuzu’s Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) continues across the majority of models, replacing the traditional clutch pedal and employing a fluid coupling and wet clutch.

During a time of heightened consumer awareness and demand for advanced safety features, the upgraded models come to the fore by providing a number of active and passive safety features as standard across the range. N Series cabs have been manufactured to conform to the strength requirements dictated by ECE R29 and feature pillar hinge, frame and door-beam reinforcement, along with a closed section side sill step and front mounting rail.?Cab safety has been further bolstered by the inclusion of a standard passenger SRS airbag across the N Series range, whilst Anti-lock braking systems (ABS with EBD), Anti-Skid Regulator (ASR) or traction control and Hill Start Aid (HSA) are available on all models (except NPS 4x4).?Also available are optional NAVTEQ embedded Satellite Navigation and up to three audio visual reversing cameras.
