Iveco announces new GM of Sales

Iveco Australia has appointed Scott Slater to the role of general manager of sales.

The appointment made in June sees Slater replace Geoff Buswell who will be placed in a new role within CNH Industrial Group in Australia.

Slater, who had previously spent 18 months as Iveco national key accounts manager and before that was general manager at Melbourne Truck Centre, will assume duties for Iveco’s national key accounts and dealers.

Iveco’s product offering was the strongest it had been in many years Slater said in a statement.

“The brand has performed strongly in the light market over the past 12-18 months and during this time has also set solid foundations for this momentum to continue across to the medium and heavy segments,” he said.

“Having the Iveco heavy duty range with models such as the Stralis and ACCO being made locally, provides a real advantage for customers in terms of the flexibility and customisation levels we can provide them,” Slater said.

“I’ll be focusing on promoting these benefits to prospective Iveco customers in the months ahead.”

Bruce Healy, Iveco Australia Business Director said Slater was qualified to take over the new role.

“Given Scott’s extensive heavy vehicle sales industry experience, both at the manufacturer level and in retail sales, he is very well suited to step-up into the new role. We look forward to him making a strong contribution.”
