Kings Group to launch pharmacy logistics solution

The Kings Group has partnered with The Pharmacy Guild of Australia to launch a pharmacy-to-home delivery service through subsidiary Gold Cross Products and Services.

Since 2016, Kings has been working with Gold Cross to design, trial and review a solution for pharmacies.

Gold Cross, in conjunction with Kings Logistics experts have developed a service for Australian pharmacies.

Kings Group said in a statement that the ‘Pharmacy to Home Delivery Service’ will empower pharmacies to offer safe and reliable deliveries to their customers as an extension of their business, performed by qualified logistics professionals equipped with secured track and trace and route optimisation technology. “Based on their unique customer demands, pharmacies are able to arrange permanent, regular drivers to create familiarity with their clients and/or opt to utilise additional scaled usage via ad-hoc callouts when required.”

Kings Group said that all delivery drivers are hand-picked to ensure the pharmacy’s reputation and image are maintained with their customers – adding that its induction program for pharmacy drivers includes specialised training on medicine handling, pharmacy layout, culture, operations and customer service.
