KS Easter donates portion of truck event proceeds to charity

Transport operator, KS Easter, has reportedly donated to mental health charity beyondblue, contributing a portion of its winnings from the recent Western Star Trucks Show n Shine event.

The Brisbane-based operator picked up five prizes on the day including ‘best Western Star under five years’, ‘best Western Star fleet’ and ‘truck of the show’, according to commercial vehicle distributor, Penske Australia and New Zealand.

“beyondblue does fantastic work in our community raising awareness around mental health and wellbeing – so with Penske Commercial Vehicles supporting beyondblue at the Show n Shine, we decided that we would make a donation,” said KS Easter Managing Director, Ken Easter.

“It was an honour to win as many prizes as we did, and an absolute pleasure to make this contribution to beyondblue.

“We are pleased to play our part supporting them,” he said.

Representing beyondblue, speaker Michelle Janssen presented her story to staff at Penske Commercial Vehicles.

“Thank you to KS Easter for the kind donation to beyondblue,” she said.

“As a speaker, I get to see first-hand the generosity of organisations and individuals who appreciate all the work beyondblue does.

“In Australia, around three million people live with anxiety and depression so opportunities to visit groups of people, share my story and promote beyondblue’s services are very important,” she said.
