Lindsay Australia reveals FY results

Lindsay Australia has released its results for the year ended 30 June 2017, reporting operating profit after tax of $6.43 million and growth in operating revenue to $332.86 million.

According to the Annual Report released on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), the lower-than-expected results were impacted by a number of unfavourable weather events, flat economic environment and competition.

The Lindsay Transport division, which counts a fleet of 390 prime movers and rigids, as well as 650 trailers, made a profit contribution of $25.2 million, an increase of 10.5 per cent on the previous corresponding period.

During the period, the Lindsay Group also finished development of the new Lindsay Transport and Lindsay Rural sites in Mareeba and Acacia Ridge in Queensland.
