Mercedes-Benz Trucks has paid tribute to its network of dealers at the company's annual Dealer of the Year awards in Melbourne.
The company, which has just introduced a new-generation Actros truck range, held a ceremony at the Glasshouse in Melbourne, celebrating its best dealership staff.
Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus Director, Michael May, presented the 2016 Metropolitan Dealer of the Year award to Greg Gardiner, the Dealer Principal of Daimler Trucks Sydney, Huntingwood.
May also handed out the 2016 Rural Dealer of the Year to Kevin Purcell, the Dealer Principal of Daimler Trucks Newcastle.
“The Daimler Trucks Sydney, Huntingwood team has hit it out of the park year after year,” he said. “It has made a massive contribution to our sales, in all segments we compete, as well as performing at a high level for parts and after sales.”
May continued. “The Daimler Trucks Newcastle team has had a fantastic year, selling well above their target for the year and reaching out to a range of new customers. This is a proactive team, which has grown its service and parts business, which is crucial to our brand’s long term success.”
Other awards included Tim Blackstock of Daimler Trucks Huntingwood, Sydney, who took home Mercedes-Benz Sales Person of the Year; while Mitchell Hynd of Dandenong’s Whitehorse Truck Centre, was presented with the Rookie of the Year award; Service Manager of the Year award went to David Centofanti of Daimler Trucks Adelaide; and Mercedes-Benz Parts Manager of the Year Award was presented to Cameron Thompson of Daimler Trucks Somerton.
