The management and operations of the Australian Road Transport Industrial Organisation (ARTIO) NSW branch will be overseen by a newly elected committee announced this week by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).
Members of the new Committee include President, Laurie D’Apice, Linfox Logistics; Vice-President, Linda Lewis, Micway Transport; Vice-President, Cameron Murphy, Murphy Transport Solutions; committee members John West, John West Logistics, Norm McCormack, Automotive Holdings Group; and Secretary/Treasurer, Hugh McMaster.
According to McMaster the new Committee collectively has extensive experience in understanding the needs and expectations of ARTIO NSW members and in the management of an industry association.
“The Committee has an appropriate blend of committee level experience and new talent,” he said in a statement.
“We have also introduced new services to add value to ARTIO NSW membership with others under development,” said McMaster.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Gaylynne Neill and Mark Wintle, who served on the Committee in the outgoing four-year term for their respective contributions to the growth and development of ARTIO NSW as an organisation which represents road transport operators conducting business in NSW.”
McMaster said that as a registered industrial organisation ARTIO NSW operates under rules approved under federal workplace law.
