New freight hub approved

A new freight depot in Toowoomba has been approved for construction, joining the region's industrial hotspot.

According to The Chronicle, the Toowoomba Regional Council approved the freight depot on Nass Rd in Charlton – which is in the Toowoomba Enterprise Hub – 18 months after it was first introduced.

The first stage of the development will reportedly include a shed measuring 3500m2 to house the depot, with a second similar shed for a workshop to make up a future workshop in stage two.
