Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Day aims for record year

Now in its 23rd year, the Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Group will hold the 2017 Transport Awareness Day & Truck Show this Sunday, 29 October.

Now at Maitland Showground, the larger venue can accommodate entertainment and performers including The Voice finalist, Lyn Bowtell, as well as the Viper Creek Band, plus activities for the kids, food options, market stalls and trucks on display.

Under a new committee, the Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Group is reportedly committed to ensuring the 2017 show is the best on record.

All funds raised will be used to invest in Transport Awareness in the community and to support local charities.

According to the event, the Transport Awareness Day began in 1994 as a way to educate the community about the role of the transport and logistics industry.
