PBS in focus at 2018 Global Heavy Vehicle Leaders Summit

Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association (ARTSA) Chair, Dr Peter Hart, has confirmed that the 2018 Global Heavy Vehicle Leaders Summit will present a fresh analysis of Performance-Based Standards (PBS).

“There is comprehensive data on the penetration of PBS equipment across heavy vehicle fleets,” said Hart. “With over 6,000 PBS-approved combinations now on the road, the scale and penetration of the high productivity scheme is driving greater productivity and safety gains throughout Australia.”

Hosted by ARTSA, in association with leading innovative companies and organisations, the Summit will give key decision makers a forum to share business intelligence and find strategies to capitalise on the disruptive forces and game changing events in today’s world.

The event will delve into issues that can arise both internally and externally that often catch businesses unaware.

Heavy vehicle design, regulation, safety and technology will be explored by key decision makers who will give advice on how to capitalise on disruptive forces.

Other speakers include Australia’s Leading Chief Scientist Dr Alan Finkel and CEO of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Sal Petroccitto.
