Penske appoints Pengelly Trucks and Trailers to dealer group

Pengelly Trucks and Trailers has been named as a dealer representing Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus and Dennis Eagle brands Penske Commercial Vehicles announced today.

The Toowoomba-based business will add sales capabilities to its current remit providing authorised parts and service capabilities across the Penske brands.

Its role as a dealer came into effect 1 October.

Pengelly was already an existing dealer of Detroit heavy-duty engines.

The appointment coincides with the second annual Western Star Trucks ‘Show n Shine’ event scheduled to take place 17 November at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.

Penske Commercial Vehicles Managing Director Kevin Dennis said Pengelly had been an important part of the customer support network in Southeast Queensland.

“We are confident that Pengelly will continue to provide great customer service with this increase in its responsibilities to include sales across Penske’s on-highway brands including Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle and Detroit,” he said.

“Penske Commercial Vehicles has continually worked on improving our network capabilities and our offering to customers.”

According to Dennis, the appointment of Pengally will be part of a renewed focus to ensure Penske’s customers receive the best whole-of-lifecycle care of assets.

“The Show n Shine event will also be an opportunity for Pengelly to promote its services to the Western Star faithful when they gather in Toowoomba in November,” said Dennis.

Scott Pengelly, Pengelly Trucks and Trailers Managing Director welcomed the added responsibility which he believes will improve his dealership’s service offering to customers.

“Pengelly Trucks and Trailers has demonstrated our commitment to both our customers, and Penske’s brands, with almost a decade of experience as a Western Star, MAN, and Detroit parts and service dealer,” said Pengelly.

Pengelly operates four workshops dedicated to truck and trailer repairs, paint and panels and heavy vehicle wheel alignments.

“Our appointment as a full selling dealership will allow us to better represent the Penske stable and ultimately drive an increased presence of Western Star and MAN trucks on the roads within our region,” he said.

“Pengelly prides itself on being a one-stop shop for all heavy transport needs.”

“Together with Penske, we are striving for an exceptional level of customer service, and are very excited about this opportunity moving forward.”
