Penske launches new site in New Zealand

Penske New Zealand is set to open a new state-of-the-art facility in Christchurch starting 4 February.

Local commercial vehicle dealer, Heavy Trucks, will relocate to the site where it will provide full service support, retail sales, parts and service support for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, MTU and Detroit brands.

In a media statement Penske Power Systems said customers of Heavy Vehicles can expect to receive the same level of service with the additional benefit of the broader Penske New Zealand network including Auckland and Tauranga locations on the North Island.

“We are very excited to open the doors to our brand new facility and to welcome the Heavy Trucks employees to the Penske New Zealand family,” said Jim Livermore, Penske New Zealand.

“With our new Christchurch facility, we will be able to build on the great reputation that Heavy Trucks has earned on the South Island for exceptional customer service.”

The purpose-built Christchurch facility comprises 1,860m2 of workshop space, a 500 m2 parts warehouse and 900 m2 of office space and amenities.

“The state-of-the-art workshop houses 18 truck bays, a machine shop, a drive-through wash bay, and two full-length service pits fitted out with the latest servicing equipment, providing exceptional amenities for our staff, our customers, and their assets,” he said.

The new Penske Christchurch facility is located at 2 Headquarters Place, Hornby South, Christchurch.
