Penske moves Western Star showcase to Sydney

Show n Shine, one of the main events on the calendar for Western Star trucks, will take place for the first time in Sydney later this year.

Penske Commercial Vehicles has announced that the Museum of Fire in Penrith will host the annual Western Star showcase which has been scheduled for Sunday 3 November.

It's also the first time Shine n Show, a celebration of Western Star commercial vehicles and its customers, will take place outside of Queensland.

The event enables Western Star owners to display their trucks for fellow enthusiasts.

Music and other attractions will be part of the program.

At last year's event, held in Toowoomba, North Queensland Truck and Machinery Movement was recognised for its 'Phatcat' 4800, which was named 'Truck of the Show'.

The 2019 event will again feature a host of prizes across several categories.

Penske Commercial Vehicles Managing Director Kevin Dennis said after consultation with customers and its dealer network the company made the decision to move the show to Sydney's West.

“Our last two events were very successful with a great turnout of Western Star faithful and their friends and families, and we are sure that this year will be even better," he said.

“In addition to our national customers who travelled from far and wide the last two years and will do so again, we are also looking forward to spending the day with our NSW customers who didn’t make the trip north of the border the last few years.”
