QLD concrete contractor uses Iveco ACCO trucks

Queensland-based concrete contractor, Neilsen Group, has reflected on the ACCO 8x4 heavy vehicles it received earlier this year, citing reliability and performance as ‘ticking the boxes’, according to truck manufacturer, Iveco Trucks Australia.

Iveco has said that Neilsen is south-east Queensland’s largest independent supplier of premixed concrete and quarry products. Due to its growing customer base, Neilsen had turned to Iveco for six new agitators.

“This is the first time as a company that we’ve added ACCOs to the fleet, and although it’s early days they’ve been great and haven’t missed a beat,” said Neilsen Group Transport Manager, Bevan Richardson.

“We purchased five as a company and a sixth was bought by one of our subcontractors - we needed the trucks promptly to meet the requirements of a contract and Iveco was able to work with our tight schedule to get them on the road fast,” he said.

According to Iveco, all six trucks were fitted with ATT eight cubic metre bowls, featuring a Cummins engine, Allison 6-speed auto transmission, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and front and rear airbag suspension.

The new ACCOs are reportedly part of a fleet of about 50 trucks, mainly comprising agitators as well as tippers and tankers.

“So far driver acceptance of the ACCOs has been good, they’ve been reliable and the payload is what we need – the trucks are ticking all the boxes for us,” said Richardson.
