Teletrac Navman welcomes Jens Meggers as new President

Teletrac Navman, one of the largest fleet management solutions providers in Australia, has recently announced the appointment of Dr Jens Meggers as the company’s new President.

With more than a quarter-century of organisational and technology leadership experience, Dr Meggers will drive the strategic direction of Teletrac Navman in the coming years. He will be tasked with ensuring product evolution with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence to effectively serve customer needs, both now and in the near future.

Prior to joining Teletrac Navman, Dr Meggers was part of the leadership team at, a Mountain-View-based AI startup. He also previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cisco Corporation’s Cloud Collaboration business and held several senior executive positions at cybersecurity giant Symantec Corporation.

Martin Gafinowitz, Senior Vice President at Gilbarco Veeder-Root, agrees that Dr Meggers’ wealth of knowledge will help Teletrac Navman stay ahead of the tight-knit competition, keeping the company at the forefront of telematics for years to come.

“The Transportation and mobility markets represent huge opportunities, which is why we’re putting significant investments in the company and bringing on a phenomenal leader who will continue to help Teletrac Navman push this industry forward,” said Gafinowitz.

He also believes that the new President’s extensive product background will be vital as Teletrac Navman continues to expand its product footprint and innovate.

“His proven ability to understand market needs and lead a team to develop technology solutions ahead of the curve will be a tremendous advantage to the company and its customers,” said Gafinowitz.

According to research firm Berg Insight, the market for fleet management in Australia and New Zealand alone is forecast to grow from 0.8 million units in 2017 to 1.7 million by 2022.

As significant shifts and exciting transformations continue to occur across the transportation industry on a global scale, Dr Meggers believes that his experience leading both large scale enterprise companies and small tech startups will help Teletrac Navman navigate through the ever-evolving industry.
