Vale Peter Langworthy

Peter Langworthy, former Managing Director of Dana Australia, has passed away after a long battle with cancer.

Langworthy served the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry in Australia for many years, most recently in his role as Managing Director of Dana Australia, which he held from 2010 until 2017.

In Langworthy’s time at the helm of Dana in Australia, he transformed the company from one supplying components to the Ford plant in Campbellfield, Victoria, to a more targeted supplier of axles, differentials and other components to the truck manufacturing industry and other automotive applications. The transformation saw the operation move from a number of older facilities to one large, purpose-built plant and headquarters in Keysborough, in Melbourne’s east.

Langworthy was well known for his contribution in management roles at Kenworth and Iveco, and his role as the President of the Heavy Vehicle Industry of Australia (HVIA).
