VISA Global Logistics celebrates award win

VISA Global Logistics has been awarded the Freight Forwarder of the Year Award at the 2017 Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards.

In its 22nd year, this annual event recognises efforts in the areas of shipping, transport, global logistics, environmental and safety initiatives, customs clearance and the up and coming young leaders of the industry.

VISA Global Logistics National Transport Manager, Scott Walker (pictured below), accepted the award at the Grand Ballroom Sofitel in Sydney last night.

"Winning this award was an unexpected, amazing moment for all of us here at VISA," Walker said.

"VISA is a privately owned Australian freight forwarding business that has been growing in leaps and bounds. Our trucking movements alone have doubled in size in less than three years, and we've opened offices around the globe.

"The judges have recognised our growth, and our dynamic business style. This is a testament to the hard work from everyone throughout the entire VISA team, from office workers, supervisors and senior management up to the owners of the business, who are thrilled to win this award."

The award winners are chosen by an expert judging panel including Rod Nairn AM, CEO Shipping Australia; Michael Gallacher, CEO, Ports Australia; Brian Lovell, CEO Australian Federation of International Forwarders; and Paul Zalai, Director, Freight Trade Alliance.
