Vote now for General Council representation

The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has revealed the candidates vying to represent owner-drivers and small fleets on its General Council.

The Independent Returning Officer for the election, Phil Potterton, said that three candidates would contest the owner-driver position, John Beer from Romsey, Victoria, Frank Black (Arcidiaco) from Archerfield, Queensland, and Gordon Mackinlay from Holbrook, New South Wales.

For the small fleet position, Lynley Miners from Adaminaby, New South Wales, and Leigh Smart from Melrose Park, New South Wales are the two candidates to choose from.

The ATA's General Council helps to set the Association's policy direction, with representatives holding their positions for a two-year period.

Candidate statements will be available to registered voters with their online ballot papers, and can also be accessed from the ATA website.

Registered voters have been emailed their secure voting link and have until 5pm AEDT on 22 March to vote.
