WA road safety industry forum coming soon

Western Australian transport body Transafe WA has announced that the 7th annual Road Transport Industry Safety Forum in Perth will take place on Monday, 21 September.

According to Transafe WA, more than 200 guests are expected at the event, which will be opened by Chris Melham, CEO of the Australian Trucking Association.

Other presenters will include Michael Kilgariff, CEO and Peter Elliot, Project Manager – Safety of the Australian Logistics Council, with the latter’s presentation to focus on lessons learned from 1000+ CoR audits. Pascal Felix, Executive Director of Heavy Vehicle Services for Main Roads WA will also discuss the topic of Heavy Vehicle Charges with a focus on safety and productivity benefits for industry in WA.

The non-profit group will run the free forum from 8.30am to 3.45pm at The Rise in Maylands with other speakers covering heavy vehicle enforcement, safety investigations, near misses, driver training initiatives, workers compensation prevention and cost containment, and neuroscience and driver safety.
