Western Star Trucks confirms details of competition showcase

Following its Bathurst triumph and Roger Penske's whirlwind recent visit to Australia, Penske Power Systems now turns its attention to announcing the prizes for Show n Shine, its upcoming Western Star showcase for fans.

Hosted by the Museum of Fire in Penrith, NSW, on Sunday 3 November, Show n Shine offers a family friendly event bringing together trucking industry, motorsport and firefighting communities.

At this year's event the owner awarded 'truck of the show' will receive tickets for a corporate suite to the Supercars round of their choice.

Flights and accommodation are also included.

Commencing from 10am, the Show n Shine will also feature entertainment for children, food and beverage vendors, a meet and greet with DJR Team Penske drivers, Fabian Coulthard and Scott McLaughlin.

Western Star has again joined with a charity partner this year supporting the Museum of Fire in its efforts to promote the Australian firefighters.

Dale Christensen, national sales manager – Western Star Trucks, Penske Commercial Vehicles said the event will be jam-packed with entertainment and an impressive lineup of Western Star and 'White' trucks.

“Customers displaying their much-loved trucks will be in the running for some superb prizes including a fantastic all-inclusive Supercars prize pack, so it’s well worth the effort of shining up those Stars," he said.

“And while we love those shiny Stars, all trucks are welcome, even those hard working Stars that may be coming straight off the road.”

Bump in commences from 8am and bump out will take place from 3.30pm.

The main categories include Best Western Star under five years, Best Western Star between five to ten years, Best Western over ten years, Best Western Star fleet (five plus trucks), Best Western Star rigid/tipper, Best White truck (heritage).

Prizes for each category include Shell fuel gift cards, Waeco CFX75DZW truck fridges, Narva 22” 20,000 lumens light bars and merchandise.

Western Star enthusiasts can register their trucks for display at the event by visiting https://www.westernstar.com.au/show-n-shine or by contacting their local Western Star dealer.
