AMA Group, based in the Gold Coast, has acquired its ninth major heavy motor repair facility.
Newcastle’s National Truck Repairs and National Central and joined the company’s portfolio.
AMA Group CEO Heavy Motor Division, Darren Wales, is delighted with the newly acquired business. He said it is a perfect strategic fit for the ever-expanding Heavy Motor Division.
“National Truck Repairs is such a well-run and respected industry leader in the heavy vehicle repair sector,” said Wales.
“We are delighted to have them on board to complement our burgeoning team.
“Having a facility of this calibre in the Newcastle region complements our national repair network, which is the only heavy vehicle repair organisation to have such a national presence.”
National Truck Repairs’ Rodney Landers said the company looked long and hard before joining Wales and the AMA Heavy Motor team.

Wales said that despite the recent change of the Group’s CEO it is business as usual.

AMA Heavy Motor Division now comprises 250 staff across nine sites Australia wide: Parins Truck Repairs (Perth). All Transport Smash (SA), Western Truck Repairs (VIC), Recar Truck Repairs (Brisbane, Townsville, Clayton), Wales Truck Repairs (NSW), Wales Bus Repairs (NSW) and National Truck Repairs (Newcastle).
