Crowdsourcing technology employed by a local courier business has received national recognition.
Aramex Blu Couriers was named as the Winner for Service Innovation at the Australian Business Awards 2020,
Launched in late 2016, the technology connects franchisees with an on-demand workforce using a crowdsourcing model.
The company estimates six million parcels have been delivered through Blu since its inception.
As online shopping continues to generate increased parcel deliveries across the country, Aramex itself is seeing rising demand for its services.
Aramex CEO Peter Lipinski said the award provided recognition for the focus on innovation and technology placed by the business to ensure it continues to deliver excellence and meet growing demand for parcel delivery in Australia.

While online shopping has undergone a boom locally in recent years, the segment has spiked in the era of COVID-19.
Aramex has reported an increase of 48 per cent in deliveries for the months of March to August in comparison to the same time last year.
“We have seen double the sign-ups to Blu Couriers in comparison to this time last year with our Blu Courier drivers helping our network meet the avalanche of deliveries and returns,” said Lipinski.
“With more people now working from home and shopping online we expect the rapid growth in delivery to continue. We encourage more people to sign up to the platform as drivers. It’s an exciting opportunity for people eager to create or supplement their income,” he said.
