Leading logistics provider Centurion has been awarded a three-year contract, plus options, by Sodexo.
The contract involves expansion of its logistics support services which will increase from 32 sites to 43 sites throughout the Goldfields, Mid-West and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.
Centurion already supplies a large number of mine site camps managed by Sodexo, including perishable and non-perishable products.
A similar service will also be deployed to the 11 additional sites awarded by Sodexo to Centurion.
As part of a global group, Sodexo delivers more than 100 different service offerings to over 300 sites in Australia including traditional cafeteria dining to comprehensive integrated facilities and asset management services.
In a media release Centurion confirmed services on the existing routes will continue unaffected.
Services to the new sites commenced in February and will require additional Australian-built refrigerated trailers to be procured and
deployed ahead of the start date.
Centurion’s fleet of refrigerated trailers in service to retail and resources industries, servicing the North West and North East regions, is currently over 220 assets, offering what it calls ‘unparalleled coverage’ across regional and remote sites across the West Coast of Australia.
Centurion CEO Justin Cardaci said Centurion and Sodexo have been strategic partners for more than six years.
“The contract extension and expansion strengthens the relationship between Centurion and Sodexo and builds a solid platform for further growth across Australia, and in particular the East Coast,” he said.
