The DAF CF85 has been voted ‘Fleet Truck of the Year’ at the UK’s premier transport industry awards, the annual Motor Transport Awards for the third year in a row. This is the tenth time this truck has received this award.
Managing director of DAF Trucks UK, Ray Ashworth was presented with the trophy in front of 1400 leading industry people at a presentation dinner in London on Tuesday July 13.
“We are proud that the DAF CF85 has earned this important industry award. Everyone in our industry and throughout the DAF team recognises the significance of this award since it is an accolade from the fleet operators themselves,” said Ray.
“To win in 2008, 2009 and 2010 – three of the most challenging years the UK transport industry has ever experienced – underlines the value of this award. It highlights the exceptional fuel economy and overall efficiency of the CF85, together with the outstanding in-service support provided by our nationwide network of dedicated dealers.”
In the 24 years since Motor Transport introduced these awards, no other truck has won the vehicle award three years in a row.
