Eades Transport recognises partnership with Primary Connect

Refrigerated freight company Eades Transport has grown its national footprint thanks in part to its association with Primary Connect.

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Eades Transport has been a carrier partner with Primary Connect since 2015.

Ian Steel OAM, Director of Eades Transport, said its prime movers, roadtrains and refrigerated trailers run between Adelaide and Melbourne as well as Naracoorte and Melbourne/Adelaide and Melbourne and Bunbury WA.

“Primary Connect has enabled Eades Transport to grow into a true national carrier,” said Steel.

“We have grown our partnership from a single B-Double going from Teys beef processing plant in Naracoorte to Truganina beef processing plant in Melbourne to multiple B-Doubles on a daily basis,” he said.

“Our partnership has also enabled us to purchase up-to-date equipment which has led to further growth.”

Ian said Eades Transport has also supported Primary Connect during many natural disasters.

“We helped restock stores in Central Queensland during the 2019 floods,” Steel said.

“We also put on many extra services during the COVID lockdown and also assisted during the WA bushfires.”

Steel is also the founder of Kickstart for Kids, a not-for-profit organisation that assists disadvantaged school children by providing breakfast, lunch and mentoring programs.

Kickstart for Kids serves 60,000 breakfasts every week in South Australian schools and relies on the generous support of 1,500 volunteers and Woolworths.

“Woolworths is a valued supplier of our breakfast programs supplying bakery products, “ Steel said.
