Telematics system supplier and IAP service provider, Minorplanet Asia Pacific, has gone into voluntary administration, with its assets acquired by Vehicle Management Systems (VMS).
Launched in Sydney in 2000, Minorplanet Asia Pacific also had offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland.
Minorplanet Asia Pacific was certified as an IAP Service Provider in December 2008 by the company administering the IAP (Intelligent Access Program), Transport Certification Australia (TCA).
In a statement, the TCA said it had been advised that VMS will make formal public announcements about its acquisition in coming days. It also asserted that commercial and IAP services will continue to be delivered.
