An inaugural Advisory Board and Working Groups have been put together for Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds (HHTS).
The non-profit organisation working to support transport and logistics workers confirmed it had established groups for Training and Education, Standards, Wellbeing and Technology Development earlier in November.
These sub-committees are composed of members across various companies and levels of leadership in both the road transport and logistics industries and mental health sector according to HHTS.
They will provide a forum of information exchange and insights to HHTS, regarding workplace mental health and physical wellbeing as well as to help guide the Foundation on strategy, policy and future initiatives.
Members of the Technology and Development group came together in November to review the approach for development of the Healthy Heads App, which is scheduled to launch in 2021.
“Excitingly, the HHTS Training and Education Working Group also participated in a Lifeline mental health awareness training pilot program alongside workers from Qube. Feedback from the pilot will help assess the appropriateness of the program as an HHTS training and education resource to be used early next year,” the organisation said in an online statement.
