Holcim team takes a concrete stand for men’s health

Changing the face of men’s health is all in a day’s work for the Holcim Sydney Concrete team, members of which spent November cultivating their moustaches and raising vital funds as part of the global fundraiser – Movember.

With an ambitious target of $2,000, the ‘Mo Bros’ dug deep and with the support of work colleagues, friends and families hit it out of the park by raising more than $4,200 for the charity.

“We have been participating in Movember for a few years now,” said Holcim Plant Manager – Artarmon, Ben Aboushadi.

“It started with a couple of the Artarmon Plant team members and has grown to become the Sydney Concrete team,” he said.

“Although some mos were more visible than others, the fundraising efforts by every team member and the generosity of our supporters meant that this year’s Movember campaign was a huge success.”

All funds raised will go towards men’s mental health and suicide prevention services, as well as research for prostate and other cancers.

The Holcim Sydney Concrete team included Hermis Salarda, Ben Aboushadi, Aria Abedinnezhad, Stuart Kinsella, Joshua Scott, Mitchell Rogers, Dean Pickering and Dan Tyler.
