Kings Transport teases new warehouse facility

The continued expansion of the Kings Group national warehouse roadmap will see the commercial road transport and logistics operator open a new site in Melbourne.

In partnership with Salta Properties, Kings Group has secured a site at the Nexus Industrial Estate located in Dandenong South.

It joins other top tier players in the logistics sector such as Visa Global Logistics, Haulotte Australia, Silk Logistics and Bunnings, each of whom has facilities as part of the estate.

The new facility, which will include 15,138sqm of custom-built warehousing and two levels of office space totalling 725sqm, is currently under construction and due for completion in November.

Salta Properties, Managing Director Sam Tarascio welcomed Kings Group, which has signed a five-year lease as the latest tenant at the industrial precinct.

“The agreement with Kings Group reinforces Nexus Dandenong South’s position as a first-class industrial estate that appeals to tenants of all sizes due to its connections to the city, the Port of Melbourne, and major commercial, retail and residential areas,” he said.

The emerging Nexus Industrial Estate plays an integral role in Salta Properties’ inland port strategy, a long-term initiative aimed at improving freight efficiency across the state of Victoria.

Kings Group, Chairman, Mark Mastroianni and CEO, Barry Thompson are reportedly delighted with the plans for their custom-built facilities at Nexus Industrial Estate.

Thompson said that the new premises will allow the company to provide a high-profile, state of the art distribution centre to deliver high-quality services to its clients.

“The partnership with Salta will provide greater value in warehousing and distribution to our clients further enhancing our key pillars of people first, strong capabilities, safety always and sustainability,” he said.
