Linfox Armaguard Group appoints new CEO

Cash logistics specialist, Linfox Armaguard Group, has confirmed a leadership change.

Mick Cronin has been appointed CEO of Linfox Armaguard Group, effective 19 July 2021.

Annette Carey has retired from the position of CEO, Linfox Armaguard Group. Annette deferred retirement to take on the Armaguard leadership role for 12 months.

“I’d like to thank Annette for her passion and dedication over her time with Armaguard, and wish her all the very best in her retirement from full time executive life,” said Armaguard Group Executive Chairman, Peter Fox.

“The Linfox Armaguard Board of Directors and I are pleased to announce that Mick Cronin has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Armaguard Group.”

Cronin is an accomplished team leader with over 25 years of experience with leading organisations across all aspects of the supply chain.

He joined Armaguard as NSW State Operations Manager in 2003, before he became NSW State Manager. Cronin was then appointed National Manager General Retail at Linfox. He left Linfox in 2007 to pursue other opportunities, before returning in 2018 as President Retail.

As Linfox President Retail, Cronin has led Linfox’s Retail business unit to a strong position in safety, customer engagement and growth over the last three years.

Armaguard Group continues to focus on supporting customers and communities through the Covid-19 recovery, and has its sights firmly set on building a sustainable future for currency management and innovation.

Armaguard began operations as the Armoured Car Division of Mayne Nickless in Melbourne in 1938, later expanding across Australia in the following decades.

Linfox acquired Armaguard in 2003 and has since grown to become Armaguard Group.

For more than 80 years, the business has provided secure transport and protection for cash and precious goods for major banks and organisations.

Armaguard Group is a leader in secure currency supply chain and technology solutions across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Earlier this year, Linfox and Toll heavy vehicles joined a road safety campaign with Coles.
