Minorplanet assets officially acquired by VMS

One of Australia’s leading GPS vehicle tracking service providers, Minorplanet Asia Pacific, announced that Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) has completed a business asset purchase of the organisation, which will give the company a fresh start with new shareholders and new directors, whilst maintaining the core local management team.

Minorplanet CEO, Steve Green said that he is delighted with this outcome, which has allowed the company to break ties with its UK parent. “It’s great to have a shareholder group committed to the Asia Pacific business and one that is prepared to invest in our business and promote our position in this region.
“We’re also happy to put an end to the speculation in the market, which has surrounded our business over the last couple of months.”

Vehicle Management Systems and new Minorplanet Managing Director, Dean Verberne, said the company is excited about the acquisition and already working closely with the team to develop the plans to accelerate business growth.

Mr Green continued, “We’ve got many thousands of users across our group and our main concern was to ensure we maintained services while the sale was completed. Our new owner is committed to business continuity and growth, which is great for our people, customers and many business partners. We would like to assure our customers that all services, commercial and regulatory, will continue to be delivered. We now look forward to working with our valued customer base and cementing our leadership position in the market.”
