On the European market, Volvo has introduced a new model range aimed specifically at the vocational and construction markets. The new Volvo FMX is an evolution from the current FM range with cab redesign and improved specification to improve robustness to suit the construction market. The new trucks were launched at the Bauma Exhibition held in Germany for the construction industry.
The truck’s new, more aggressive styling is considered to be more suited to the off-road conditions vocational trucks will have to endure. The high clearance design features a new upper grill and a three-part steel bumper as well as a skid plate and protective bull bar. The design also includes headlamp mesh protection and new anti-slip steps.
