Commercial vehicle manufacturer, Hino Australia, recently signed a lease on a new site in Sydney’s outer south-west that will become home to an expanded spare parts division.
This will geographically separate the parts division from head office at Caringbah in southern Sydney where the two departments currently co-exist.
“Hino has decided to relocate its Parts Distribution Centre to an all-new site at Horsley Park in the south-western suburbs of Sydney, with building expected to be finished in the second quarter of 2021,” said Hino Australia General Manager – Product Support, Greg Bleasel.
“This will optimise our supply chain network by providing a better and faster service to our customers and dealers while also enabling Hino to more effectively respond to the projected growth in vehicle sales and parts demand over the coming years.”
The site is part of the Horsley Park Estate located within the established industrial precincts of Horsley Park and Eastern Creek. The location is also in the heart of the Western Sydney Employment Area (WSEA).
Hino is planning to build a 9,230-square-metre high-tech facility at 2 Johnston Crescent comprising a warehouse, office and car park.
The Hino Australia head office administration centre will remain at its current location in the southern Sydney suburb of Caringbah.
The investment in the new Parts Distribution Centre will, according to Hino, will enable the commercial vehicle manufacturer and its dealer network to manage future business expansion over the next 10 years that will be necessary to meet the needs of its growing customer base.
