Import and export logistics provider, Qube, a founding member of the Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds Foundation, has confirmed it will continue to provide backing for the initiative.
This year's launch is scheduled for July.
Together with Woolworths Group, Coles, Linfox, Toll Group, and Ron Finemore Transport, Qube is helping support the initiative that it said will benefit all operators and drivers.
The non-profit focuses on supporting mental health and wellbeing in the road transport industry.
Industry statistics indicate that one in five truck drivers has suffered a mental health episode and more than 13 per cent are diagnosed with depression.
Healthy Heads will have three key areas of focus. These include training in mental health; standardising policies and procedures for drivers at transport facilities to de-stress the working environment; initiatives assisting drivers to be healthier from a diet and mental health perspective.
Qube General Manager Health, Safety & Sustainability Belinda Flynn, a board member at Healthy Heads said, Qube supported its people by promoting a positive workplace, in which it encouraged staff to speak openly about mental health in the workplace and encouraged others to do the same.
"Qube is very proud to be part of this initiative and is looking forward to working with industry and the community to enhance our support networks for the logistics industry," she said.
