SCLAA nominations open

The Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia, in conjunction with the Department of Transport and Main Roads Qld, Strategix Training Group, the Transport and Logistics Workforce Advisory Group and apics, have officially launched the 2010 T&L Awards. 

Submissions are now open for the third annual T&L Industry Development Awards with winners announced on Thursday the 26th of August 2010 during the Queensland Supply Chain & Logistics Conference. Categories include T&L Industry Futures Award, T&L Future Leaders Award and T&L Experience Pays Award. 

2010 marks 75 years in Australia for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Australia (CILTA) and the Awards recognise exceptional achievements on the part of individuals and corporations that are actively involved in the T&L industry. All nominations must be submitted by Monday 12 July 2010 and award winners will be announced at the Award Gala Dinner, which will be held on Friday 20 August at Moda Events (formerly Gianni’s Events), Hamilton in Brisbane.

The Logistics Development Award (LDA) is an annual award sponsored by CHEP Asia-Pacific in association with the Logistics Association of Australia Ltd (LAA Ltd). It provides an outstanding opportunity for logisticians to develop their personal skills and knowledge by enabling the winning candidate to travel overseas and witness the latest logistics trends. The LDA is open to logisticians at all levels. Applicants do not have to be members of LAA Ltd.

T&L Industry Futures Award, sponsored by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, is presented to the company, institution or organisation with the best proven record in providing people with an entry to, and pathway in, the Transport, Supply Chain & Logistics industries. This includes, but is not limited to, education or training (formal or in-house), implementing flexible work practices, workforce development, and support in career progression.

T&L Future Leaders Award, sponsored by Strategix Training Group, is designed to provide incentive and recognition for individuals working in Transport, Supply Chain & Logistics industries who are planning a career path within the Industry.

T&L Experience Pays Award, sponsored by the Transport and Logistics Workforce Advisory Group, is presented to provide incentive and recognition for mature-age individuals working in the Transport, Supply Chain and Logistics industries.

The T&L Awards is the Queensland feeder program for the Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Awards which will be held on the 28th of October at Crystal Palace, Luna Park, Sydney.
