Hubs and bearings expert, SKF, is now supplying hub assemblies that the company says will help improve reliability while easing the strain of maintenance costs for fleet operators.

“All the parts in the SKF rebuild kit meet the exact specifications of the original system components, which helps to ensure longer service life and less downtime. Installation is faster and more user-friendly, with one procedure regardless of the axle type and there’s no need for complicated torqueing and using a dial indicator.”
The kit includes two specific and tapered bearing sets, an SKF Scotseal Plus XL wheel seal, an SKF TF Hubcap and a precision machined bearing spacer.
According to SKF, the assembly unit is already pre-adjusted, lubricated and sealed at SKF’s factory to reduce installation time, which the company says can eliminate installation errors, often the reason for wheel bearing failures.
